Everyday Savings with Sainsbury’s and PROSPERO Everyday Savings with
Sainsbury’s and PROSPERO

Regular treats such as a night out with friends or a meal at the local Indian restaurant make life a little more enjoyable, but with almost everyone tightening the purse strings at the moment, simple pleasures such as these are in jeopardy. But did you know that ‘staying in’ is the new ‘going out’? Here are some money-saving tips on how to make your cash go further on your weekly food shopping bill while still enjoying life’s little luxuries. *

Swap your night out at the local curry house for an Indian ‘Meal for 2’ box from Sainsbury’s and, with three to choose from and at only £6.49 each, you can afford to ‘eat in’ more often: Sainsbury's Chicken Makhani/Jalfrezi Meal, Butter Chicken/Korma Meal or their Indian Tikka Korma Meal. Sainsbury’s currently have a special ‘Buy two meals for only £12’ offer on these box meals, so you could invite friends round to enjoy your ‘night in’.

At the same time, why not take advantage of another Sainsbury’s offer of 2 large bottles (660ml) of Cobra Indian Beer for only £3 - everyone’s favourite curry component! You can order your ‘night in’ goodies online and have them delivered along with your weekly food shopping, straight to your door! A night out at an Indian restaurant can cost upwards of £30 per couple, so your ‘night in’ could save you over £13!

Swap a night out at the cinema for a night in with one of the latest DVD releases from Sainsbury’s. Try ‘Mamma Mia’, the larger-than-life musical epic straight from the smash hit stage show. Bringing you an all-star cast, the songs of ABBA and an extravaganza of dancing and laughter, it’s THE feel-good film of the year and only £13.97 from Sainsbury’s online or in-store! A night at the cinema can set you back over £20 for two, when you consider the cost of transport, drinks and other cinema refreshments. This alternative night in already saves you £6 per couple and you can watch the film again and again, and press pause to refill your wine glass!

Swap your night out with friends for a dinner party at home. Re-discover your cultural talents and take turns to be party host with your friends on a regular basis. Visit the ‘Food Ideas’ section at www.sainsburys.co.uk for delicious and easy to prepare recipe ideas for entertaining…here’s PROSPERO’s  pick of the best.
